Mandalorians! With his Shadow Collective army
stalled, Darth Maul calls on Mother Talzin for help and
is sent reinforcements: the deadly Nightbrothers! Maul is
ready again to take on the Separatist droid army, Count
Dooku, and General Grievous - in a trio of simultaneous
battles! Darth Maul has captured Darth Sidious’s new
apprentice! Mother Talzin and Maul attempt to sway Count
Dooku to their cause, revealing surprising facts about
Maul’s past. But an attack by an elite Jedi strike force
throws everyone’s plans into chaos! Count Dooku is
possessed by the spirit of Mother Talzin! Darth Maul’s
Shadow Collective is shattered! The Separatists attack!
And Darth Sidious himself enters the fight!

Review by Darth Kondorr, Poland,
2016: |

"After a
rather disappointing Obi-Wan and
Anakin comic book, set shortly before Attack of the Clones,
we get the first truly amazing entry in the new canon, that
ironically is now the only "canon" entry from Dark Horse Comics. Now
what you need to know, is that this is not a standalone story. It is
possible to enjoy it on its own, but I really encourage you to watch
The Clone Wars first. Below this review I have listed only
those episodes that feed into this comic, if you do not want to see
it all. "Following is a very short summary of the show, spoiling
only the obvious: Darth Maul’s reappearance was cause for much
turmoil among the galaxy's dark forces. Caught between the scheming
Sith factions and the newly reborn warrior spirit of the Mandalrions
was only one shimmer of light: Obi Wan. That explosive finale, that
might be the best 60 minutes of Star Wars ever created, is the
jumping off point for this equally amazing story. Well, the story is
pretty simple, but anything that involves Sith on Sith on
Mandalorians is instantly amazing. Reading this, I could hear
Witwers twisted voice of Maul, the dark charismatic Dooku and the
diabolic Grievous. It is incredible how Darth Maul grew from a mere
henchmen at Sidious's side, to a true schemer. Although the art is
amazing, I can only imagine how great the presented battles would
have been if they were animated. "On a side note, I find it
funny, how Filoni managed to make the Fetts Non-Mandalorians, while
introducing the first Kast to the new canon as a true Death Watch
Mando (for those that don't know... Jodo Kast was a Boba Fett
imposter, now the Fett's seem to be "wannabe" Mandos). This is a
true gem for The Clone Wars fans and Darth Maul fans alike
and shows that Filoni is the best thing that happened to Star Wars
since Kirshner." These are the recommended episodes: Season. 2
- Ep.12 The Mandalore Plot; Ep.13 Voyage of Temptation;
Ep.14 Duchess of Mandalore Season. 3 - Ep.5
Corruption; Ep.6 The Academy; Ep. 12 Nightsisters;
Ep. 13 Monster; Ep. 14 Witches Season. 4 - Ep.
14 A Friend in Need; Ep. 19 Massacre; Ep. 20
Bounty; Ep. 21 Brothers; Ep. 22 Revenge
Season. 5 - Ep. 1 Revival; Ep. 14 Eminence; Ep. 15
Shades of Reason; Ep. 16 The Lawless Season. 6:
- The Disappeared parts 1 & 2
