Darth Vader comic series to end with #25

13th May 2016 |

As reported at IGN.com Marvel's Darth Vader comic series by Kieron Gillen and artist Salvador Larroca will end later this year with issue #25:

Gillen and Larroca are wrapping up their story that began just after A New Hope with Vader being held responsible for the destruction of the first Death Star, and will now end with him finding a way to regain his power, not to mention his good standing with the Emperor.

Talking to IGN Gillen explains the reason for this being that "we've always said all the way through [...] that this was a story with a beginning, a middle and an end. And [...] after Vader Down [...] we were probably actually nearer to the end than we thought we were [...] better to actually end this story in a way which we think is the most effective. We don't want to pad it out extraneously."
